"This is our most desperate hour. You are needed. We are now far into this Epic that every great story points to. We have reached the moment where we, too, must find our courage and rise up to recover our hearts and fight for the hearts of others. The hour is late, and much time has been wasted." -John Eldredge

SCOTLAND OR BUST

hey we are here in Scotland... sorry that we haven't been able to post anything up until now but better a little late than never... we didn't know our internet situation and the college we are staying at is a little behind the times, so needless to say my laptop doesn't work here and we have limited access to the computers in the library at this college and when we have the most free time the library is closed.

All is well though... you should be very proud of your kids they are doing a great job. Some have given their testimony and Sam Kersteter and Dave Benoit at this time are at a school giving their testimonies along with 2 other students from other churches... this is a long one like 10 minutes a piece... we are proud of them...

So here is the rundown... we are jetlagged I called it the extreme lockin because we were up all day monday and flew through the night but we only saw about an hour of darkness until we flew into iceland so the sunlight really messes with your mind we got to Scotland at 10:25 am their time we are a 6 hour time difference we stayed up all day and went to bed extremely tired and confused it was a great site. Wednesday we did some ministry and Thursday we did full days of ministry and today the same... some of the ministry consists of youth services, worship, service projects, acts of kindness, one on one time with people, street ministry, handing out free food with invite cards to the church, handing out pop, handing out doughnuts in the morning to the work people...

some of the sites we have seen was a hunting lodge for the duke of hamilton which was huge... Bothwell Castle which belonged to Robert the Bruce from Braveheart which some of our students infiltrated and sacked... long story i will let your child explain. we are looking forward to going to stirling castle on monday and the braveheart/william wallace monument and edinborough castle with shopping at the royal mile those will be great times...

Kammy- Jeol got a Scottish haircut and looks great

Some of the food we have had: pizza hut which the pizza is smaller and they put corn on some of it mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm., Fish and Chips, Haggis, Fried pizza, steak pie, Chips and cheese which is french fries with cheese,

Sorry there are no pictures we will try and get some soon...

oh a funny side note...the drivers take no consideration for pedestrians and they are legally allowed to hit you if you are in the road which some of our students thank God had some close calls we didn't know that rule now we do and we are all the better for it... driving is crazy and the roads are tiny...

speaking of tiny everything here is smaller... everything including portions, vehicles, rooms, homes, beds... the only thing that is not smaller here are the prices... OUTRAGEOUS two hundred american dollars for a zip hoodie, 180 american dollars for shoes you get the picture.

well I think I have said enough be on the look out for more hopefully... I am totall proud of these epik students and all they have allowed God to do in and through them...
Until next time
